Svea Lin Rodgers
Svea Lin Rodgers, Program Coordinator at Pro Arts gallery, has spent her life looking through the lens of a camera, using the medium to discover herself and the world around her. Svea has exhibited internationally in group and solo exhibitions, including the International Photographic Competition at the Belles Art in San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, Mexico (1997) and the Adams Morgan Gallery in Washington, D.C. (1999). Svea co-juried the exhibition New Visions: Introduction 2000 (Pro Arts, 2000) andwas the chief curator for the exhibition Consecrations: Spiritsin the Time of AIDS (Pro Arts, 2001). Svea has performed and choreographedfor modern dance showcase and continued to study the Brazilian martial artform, Capoeria. She has a degree in Paleontology form the Universityof Montana (1997), and recently completed her Masters of Museum Studiesin documentary photography at John F. Kennedy University in Orinda, California(2001). Svea currently sits on the board of directors of DimensionalAlternatives, a non-profit organization devoted to promoting the works ofyoung artists.
